Sharon
Sharon is a bright young girl. However she has been badly affected by the poor economic condition of her family and her father’s addiction to alcohol. She failed in her plus 2 exams and did not find any reason to carry on in life. At this time, she heard about Community college through a village elder.
She joined the diploma program in computer applications at Community college on the Bridge of Hope campus. She did exceptionally well in her course. She also received comfort and developed confidence to face the future. Right now, as she awaits job opportunities, she is currently working in Spoorthi project as tutor for primary school children and is able to support her family. She said that the skill training and campus life at Bridge of Hope changed her perspective and she is now prepared to face the future with confidence.
