Gedda Vasu
Vasu is from Garudubilli village, Vizianagaram district. He is in pre-university course studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
He lives with his mother, elder brother, younger sister and grandmother. His father died due to health reasons when Vasu was in high school. His mother is an agricultural laborer earning a daily wage. His mother is the only bread winner feeding all the three children and supporting their education.
In the midst of all these challenges, Vasu makes the best use of the opportunities given to him. He came first in his school in 10th grade. He travels to Vizianagaram daily by public transport to attend college. He is determined to work hard and get a good job in order to take care of his mother and other siblings. Vasu got 10/10 in his 1st year of pre-university course and is top of his year in the R.K. Junior College, Vizianagram.
Vasu’s education is sponsored by Canadian Bridge of Hope through the Spoorthi project. He says that Spoorthi project plays a vital role in his life and it has enabled him to continue his studies and gives him the inspiration to dream for a great future.
